Moscow, Russia – Frontier Ventures, a venture capital fund focused on Internet investments in the Russian-speaking markets, today announced that Holger Laubenthal, President and CEO of GE Money Bank Russia, has joined the Fund’s Advisory Board. Mr. Laubenthal brings excellent expertise in the financial services industry and years of C-level experience in one of the leading global financial institutions. As Member of the Frontier Ventures Advisory Board, Mr. Laubenthal will work in collaboration with the Fund’s founders and other Advisors, including Gregory Finger, a serial Internet entrepreneur and co-founder of DST/Mail.ru Group and Najam Kidwai, Real Time Content founder and serial technology entrepreneur and investor.
Mr. Laubenthal started his career at PriceWaterhouse Germany in the Audit department, and then spent 3 years with Daimler-Benz in Financial Planning & Analysis and Commercial roles across Europe and Asia. After graduating from Harvard Business School, Holger joined GE in 2003 as the Operations Quality leader in the Swiss Consumer Finance business. In 2004, after becoming Black Belt certified, he assumed the role of Regional Sales Director for the branch business in Switzerland. In 2006, he moved to GE Money Germany, where he led the Auto and Retail Sales Finance P&Ls, and joined the Management Board of the bank in 2007. In 2008, he became Head of Strategy for GE Money (Global), and held the same position with GE Capital after GE Money and GE Commercial Finance were combined in early 2009. He assumed his current role as CEO of GE Money Bank Russia in October 2011.
