Moscow, March 26, 2012. Frontier Ventures, a new venture capital fund focused on supporting entrepreneurs in the Russian-speaking consumer Internet industry launched in Moscow today. The fund’s principals are committed to establishing a portfolio of businesses that are leaders in the sectors in which they operate.
Frontier Ventures is coming to the market at a time when Russians are leading the European table of Internet users and Founder and Managing Partner Dmitry Alimov says the market still has very strong potential for growth. “We believe Russia still has a long way to go based on our understanding of how consumers’ online behavior develops. There is at least ten to fifteen years of rapid growth ahead of us.”
Frontier Ventures Founder, Dmitry Alimov is himself an Internet entrepreneur with hands-on experience in the launch and development of leading online consumer services. He invested in and built Russian online video provider ivi.ru and group-purchasing site Biglion.ru, both leaders in their sectors. “In the end we’re entrepreneurs looking to work with entrepreneurs’, says Alimov, ‘we are passionate about the industry and we offer more than financial resources – we’re able to share our expertise and experience in taking businesses to the next level and realizing their full potential”.
